Our partnership with WestEd
- Type of Practice: Data & Accountability
- Targeted Population: Adult Basic Education Students
- Program Area(s): Adult Basic & Secondary Education
- Consortia Involved: Southwest Riverside County Adult Education Regional Consortium
The Challenge
As a consortium, each member felt they knew their students individually, but collectively we were not sure we meeting regional needs and proactively growing our programs and services.
The Solution
We began a long term relationship with WestEd as a consortium. We created entrance and exit surveys that allowed us to survey all students throughout our consortium with consistent surveys while also allowing each member to add personalized questions to support program review and data.
Outcomes
With these surveys we have been able to evaluate each year, common trends, student needs, program review and overall patterns of growth and student success.
The Data
The data that WestEd compiles each year for us collectively and individually has shown strong progress and continued areas of need. With this data we have been able to support progress, new program development and eliminate areas that are not being utilized or valued by our students we serve. We also have been able to use our survey data to guide our annual and three year work plans.
