Gavilan consortium develops series of dashboard tools
- Type of Practice: Data & Accountability

- Consortia Involved: Gavilan Regional Adult Career and Education Services
The Challenge
One of the promising practices of the Gavilan Regional ACES consortium is the development of a series of dashboard tools to monitor student enrollment and transitions.
The Solution
The tools were built into Gavilan College’s Gavdata interactive data presentation system. These tools allow for a user to drill down to transition points and view current and historical data.
Outcomes
The data has been particularly useful in tracking ESL student transition from community-based Lifeskills classes to campus-based Academic ESL. The tools have shown the impact of targeted interventions to create a seamless transition. Similar tools are being used to identify other exit points that need greater academic and student support.
The Data
These are tools that will continue to monitor and guide student completion efforts.
